This Thursday we hosted the first of our monthly Wellbeing Days in partnership with a number of other organisations.
On November 26th from 10:00am to 1:10pm we hosted our first monthly Wellbeing Day with our partners Citizens Advice Barnet, Age UK Barnet, MIND in Barnet and funded by London Community Response Fund.
The free half-day event included a range of activities and classes to support wellbeing.
By offering a real range of things to do, we demonstrated the value of services and activities which reflect the varying needs of people in our communities.
Each of us is unique and each of us has different wellbeing needs.
As well as a dance exercise session run by our Dance instructor Lisa, we had the pleasure to invite a few guest speakers at the event including:
Ellie Crawford from Mind in Barnet, Advocacy Service;
Helen Nicolaou from Age UK Barnet, Age UK services;
Alison Hibberd from Alzheimer’s Society, Barnet Dementia Advisor service.
The event was finished off with a Music for Wellbeing Session delivered by music therapist Emma Kenrick from Chiltern Music Therapy.
With Coronavirus restrictions currently in place to protect our health, many people are experiencing feelings like loneliness, worry or stress.
Our Wellbeing Day was a chance to engage in activities which promote wellbeing and help to better manage difficult emotions.
We will be putting on a range of wellbeing activities at our next Wellbeing Day on 3rd December so keep your eyes peeled for more details in the coming period.
